News 'THE END OF THE LOVE STORY OF SI DOEL' Released With Two Different Endings, Here's Rano Karno's Explanation

Kapanlagi.com - THE END OF THE LOVE STORY OF SI DOEL will be released in theaters on January 23rd. Rano Karno, as the director, scriptwriter, actor, and producer, said that this film will answer the public's question about who Doel's heart will choose.

"Doel's love story must come to an end, Doel must choose because I don't want the audience to keep wondering. Most of the audience for this film are already old, the same age as me, some even use wheelchairs, I can't bear it. That's why I have to finish it for those who have been waiting for years," said Rano when met at the Falcon Pictures office, Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, on Monday (1/13/2020).

1. Film with Two Endings

Because of the public's curiosity, there are rumors that THE LOVE STORY OF SI DOEL will be released with two different ending options. However, this has been denied by Rano Karno, although he did consider it.

"In America, there are movies with two endings like that. But I haven't dared to try it yet. The audience wants me to be with Sarah or Zaenab, but my choice is my choice as the writer. So, there's only one ending," explained the bespectacled man.

2. No Longer Lebaran

SI DOEL THE MOVIE 1 and SI DOEL THE MOVIE 2 were released during the Lebaran holiday. However, the third film was released at the beginning of the year, which was different. Frederica, the producer from Falcon Pictures, apparently had specific reasons for not showing the final film during the Lebaran holiday.

"Why did it finally premiere in January? Because it's also the holiday season, close to Chinese New Year. So that people can have a fresh perspective on Doel's story and understand that this is the answer. I'm happy to have a perfect trilogy," said Erica, as she is affectionately called, on a different occasion.
