'NKCTHI' Breaks 1 Million Viewers, This is Oka Antara's Feeling

Kapanlagi.com - Within one week since its release, the movie NANTI KITA CERITA TENTANG HARI INI or NKCTHI has reached 1 million viewers in all cinemas throughout the country. Oka Antara, one of the actors, admitted that he did not expect this and it exceeded his expectations.

"Extraordinarily happy, glad, beyond expectations. I think none of us who starred in this film expected to reach one million viewers in seven days. We all started with the independent spirit from the beginning of this film, just like Angga's independent music choices," he said after the celebration event at Visinema office, TB Simatupang Street area, South Jakarta, Friday (10/1).

"Independent people don't expect anything, don't expect box office success, don't expect crazy mainstream, don't expect the product to be massively accepted. The independent spirit is about guerrilla warfare and being willing to work hard, and suddenly we can achieve such a great blessing. This is an extraordinary achievement for the actors, producers, and directors at Visinema," he continued.

1. Oka Antara Learns Many Lessons

In the film, Oka plays the role of Narendra, a young father who cares and loves his children. From his role, Oka learns many lessons to bring into real life.

"I can relate because in today's life, fathers often work outside the house while mothers tend to be the ones who surveil and observe their children. But in today's era with women's emancipation, many women work outside, and many fathers out there can relate when watching this film," he explained.

2. His Character is Different in Real Life than in the Film

This father of three children added that only about 30 percent of his character in the film is similar to his real-life character. In reality, the 38-year-old man revealed the differences in his character.

"The difference is that I am much more relaxed, often joking around with my children, taking them outside the house to do things. Another similarity is that I always watch my son compete, like this father in the film watches his son compete in swimming, I also always attend my son's basketball competitions. That's the similarity," he concluded.
