As one of the film producers in Indonesia, Sheila Timothy also responded to this matter. According to this member of APROFI (Indonesian Film Producers Association), this has become one of the reasons why over-the-top (OTT) platforms are struggling to develop.

"Since 2013, APROFI has been fighting against piracy because piracy is one of the obstacles to the development of OTT. It's not just digital platforms, even films that are still showing in cinemas have already been shown there," she said.

Efforts to combat these illegal sites are acknowledged by collaborating with various parties. Other preventive measures are also not forgotten, one of which is education in schools.

"People no longer go to the cinema or just wait for it to be released. We are very against that. We, APROFI, not only collaborate with the film library, the Ministry of Communication and Information, and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to fight piracy, but also collaborate with schools," explained Sheila in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (9-1).

"So we provide explanations not to teachers but to elementary school children. This is actually about ethics, how we respect other people's work and don't steal it. How does it feel to create beautiful paintings and then have someone else's painting recognized as yours?" she continued.

2. Government Steps are Already Quite Sophisticated

Not only stopping there, the blocking carried out by the government is already quite maximum according to the woman who is usually called Lala. The system is also acknowledged to be quite sophisticated.

"The steps will continue to be maximized. Yesterday, we also collaborated with the Ministry of Communication and Information, so it's quite advanced. So when the platform moves to another domain, it can already be tracked. Now, even if they change it to dot com, dot id, dot whatever, we already have a technology system that can track them," she concluded.
