Selected as Siblings, Rachel Amanda & Sheila Dara Experienced Unusual Casting Process in the Film NKCTHI

Kapanlagi.com - Rachel Amanda and Sheila Dara Aisha have been chosen as siblings in the latest film by Visinema Pictures titled Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini (NKCTHI). The two actresses have previously been involved in Visinema Pictures projects.

Rachel is one of the cast members of "Terlalu Tampan", a comedy film adaptation of the Webtoon comic, while Sheila played the lead role in the recently released film "Eggnoid". The involvement of these two actresses in NKCTHI is marked by an unusual casting process that began with a class at Visinema Campus.

"At that time, Sheila and I didn't know each other and hadn't talked, so we came separately. Then suddenly, Sister Anggia Kharisma, the producer of NKCTHI, called me, Sheila, and Brother Rio (Dewanto)," said Rachel.

Anggia, who previously succeeded as a producer in the film Keluarga Cemara, asked the three actors to sit together and talk, then they were photographed and recorded on video. Afterwards, director Angga Dwimas Sasongko approached them and invited the three of them to be involved in the latest project, NKCTHI.

"That's where the offer to join this project started. We were offered on the spot, and I was very grateful that I came at that time," added Sheila.

1. Rachel Feels Happy

Similar to Sheila, Rachel also feels happy to receive an unexpected offer. "At that time, I just came and suddenly got offered NKCTHI," said Rachel.

In the film adapted from Marchella FP's book, Rio Dewanto was chosen to play the eldest named Angkasa, Sheila became the middle child named Aurora, and Rachel became the youngest named Awan. The three of them live in a seemingly happy family, but the problems experienced by each character make them have to face the hidden reality.

The film Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini is presented by Visinema Pictures in collaboration with IDN Media, Blibli.com, and XRM Media. This time, Angga collaborates again with producer Anggia Kharisma, his wife who has been a producer in Visinema Pictures' previous works, including Filosofi Kopi and Keluarga Cemara, which recently won the Citra Award for Best Adapted Screenplay Writer and Best Theme Song Creator at the 2019 Indonesian Film Festival.

The film, which Angga referred to as his best work in his 15-year career, is based on a book by Marchella FP, whose original version contains wise messages. The book contains a collection of writings that reflect the personal experiences of someone who is simple, yet unique and captivating.

The film was simultaneously released in Indonesian cinemas on January 2, 2020. This is the 13th production of Visinema Pictures and stars Rachel Amanda, Rio Dewanto, Sheila Dara, Donny Damara, Susan Bachtiar, Chicco Jerikho, Oka Antara, Niken Anjani, Agla Artalidia, Umay Shahab, Muhammad Adhiyat, Sinyo, Nayla Denny Purnama, Alleyra Fakhira Kurniawan, and Syaqila Afiffah Putri, as well as musician Ardhito Pramono.
