"So I was just thinking that so far I tend to play narrative films or dramas that have a storyline that can be easily followed. Rarely do I get involved in out-of-the-box or unusual stories," said Reza Rahadian when met at XXI Plaza Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/1).

1. Want to Try Something New

Through this film, Reza Rahadian wants to try something new. When this offer came, he didn't have to think twice.

"Well, when this came, because I'm a fan of changing roles to find something new, finally I have a new space, the look can be changed, there's something different. So finally, okay, no need to take long to say (okay)," he said.

2. Learn Many Magic Tricks

To delve into his character, Reza Rahadian was directly taught by a magician and he also mastered about 7 magic tricks in approximately 10 days.

"Actually, there aren't too many magic scenes, but it was done to make me get into the character. So we actually brought a magician from Jogja for me to learn directly at that time," said Reza Rahadian.

"So there were several magic tricks learned at that time. Now, it's gone, but at that time, there were probably 7 different tricks along with getting used to the hand movements. There's a trick that makes coins disappear, then there's a trick that produces a long scarf-like cloth but it never ends even though the hands are empty. If I'm not mistaken, it took about 10 days to learn, quite fast," he concluded.
