Raising the Issue of Toxic Relationships, Aliando Syarief Becomes a Manipulative Guy in the Series 'CINTA MATI'

Kapanlagi.com - Aliando Syarief is trusted as one of the main cast members in the series titled CINTA MATI. Playing the role of Bara, Ali admitted that he was already interested in the story offered by this collaboration project between Hitmaker and WeTV since it was still in script form.

At the press conference, Aliando stated that the script for the series CINTA MATI contains strong psychological elements. According to him, there are many lessons that viewers can learn related to the themes raised in the story.

"The first time I read the script, honestly, it was very interesting. There are many psychological points, I like reading books about psychology and there are many manipulation techniques in CINTA MATI. So this script is quite good for people to watch because we make it like we are reading a book, the tactics of a manipulator can be noticed," said Aliando in the Thamrin area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (30/1/2025).

1. The Dangers of Toxic Relationships

In general, the series DEAD LOVE tells the story of the relationship between Aleya (Aisyah Aqilah) and her father, Dr. Rehan (Jeremy Thomas), which began after the death of her mother. Aleya then turns to Bara (Aliando Syarief) to fill the void in her daily life.

Unfortunately, as Aleya and Bara's love grows stronger, so does the rejection from her father and friends. Aleya, determined to maintain her love, makes choices that lead her down a dangerous path. As the situation heats up, she begins to question everything about Bara and the life she has built.

Although it tells the story of a teenage romance, the series DEAD LOVE, according to Rocky Soraya, the producer from Hitmaker, offers something different. He believes that the story, directed by Danial Rifki, contains an underlying message about the dangers of toxic relationships among young people.

"We started this because we want to create something different, something real in today's era, toxic relationships. Indeed, we are planning for the viewers to feel scared or more cautious about meeting new people, new friends, and to be wiser if there is someone forcing them into something," said Rocky Soraya.

Not only for young people, Febriamy Hutapea as the Country Head of WeTV Indonesia also aims to guide parents in supporting their children's development.

"Amid the trend of teenage romance, we want to provide a different perspective but still relatable. Especially the figure of a parent who is emotionally absent, the attention (the child) desires from their father is instead received from the wrong man. We want to convey a clear message. Hopefully, this WeTV Original Series CINTA MATI can be accepted by the entire community," said Febriamy Hutapea.

In addition to Aliando Syarief, Aisyah Aqilah, and Jeremy Thomas, the WeTV Original Series CINTA MATI is also starred by several names such as Richelle Skornicki, Cantika Putri, Mona Ratuliu, and several others. The series can be watched starting Friday, January 31, 2025, on the WeTV platform.
