Ratu Felisha Moved to Be Involved in 'PENGABDI SETAN 2', Casting Process Was a Struggle

Kapanlagi.com - PENGABDI SETAN 2: COMMUNION released its official trailer last Thursday (16/6/2022). In the trailer, it was finally revealed that the film has added many actors for roles whose names and characters are still kept secret.

One of the actresses involved in this highly anticipated sequel is Ratu Felisha. Joko Anwar as the director and screenwriter revealed that Ratu played one of the residents in a 14-story apartment complex.

1. Feeling Awkward to Act in Joko Anwar's Film

Ratu Felisha said she was happy to be chosen to act in PENGABDI SETAN 2: COMMUNION because she favors Joko Anwar and his first film. In fact, she was speechless and wanted to cry when asked about her involvement.

"I feel a bit awkward, how does it feel to work with your favorite film and director, I want to cry," said Ratu when met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, recently.

2. Casting Struggles

Furthermore, Ratu Felisha shared her experience when she was first offered the casting. She was willing to travel back and forth from Rembang - Jakarta - Rembang because she was filming a movie.

"When I was told that there was a casting for PENGABDI SETAN 2, I happened to be in Rembang for filming. And I had to go to Jakarta PP because I was filming the next day, but I insisted on going from Rembang to Jakarta even though it was just for casting," said Ratu.

"Because I am such a big fan of Bang Joko, I said 'Bang, even if I am not accepted, it's okay, as long as I can see Bang Joko in person'," she added.

3. Direct Casting by Joko Anwar

Ratu Felisha revealed that Joko Anwar applied a different treatment during the casting process of his film. Because the man from Medan was directly involved in the search for actors.

"Bang Joko's treatment is different from others, because he directly casts all the actors. It makes me feel like 'Bang, I can be a tree, I can be a ghost, anything'. A few days later, I was informed that I got the role," Ratu concluded with a smile.
