Iko Uwais Responds to Police Summons, Currently Undergoing Interrogation

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Iko Uwais responded to the summons by the investigators of the Bekasi Metro Police Department on Friday (17/6/2022). The husband of Audy Item is being questioned regarding a report filed by a man named Rudi on an alleged assault case. The Chief of Bekasi Metro Police Department, Kombes Pol Hengki, stated that the star of The Raid arrived at the Bekasi Metro Police Department before Maghrib.

"The person concerned arrived 15 to 20 minutes ago and is being interrogated on the fifth floor accompanied by a lawyer," said Kombes Pol Hengki at his office on Friday (17/6/2022).

Iko Uwais arrived earlier than his brother, Firmansyah, who is also undergoing interrogation. "He will follow shortly. IU has arrived and is currently being interrogated," he said.

Iko Uwais and Firmansyah are being questioned regarding Rudi's report on alleged assault case. Hengki conveyed that the interrogation of Iko and Firmansyah is only related to the incident they experienced.

"In accordance with the needs of the investigators. The questions are related to when the incident occurred, where it happened, and what caused it. All of these will be asked by the investigators," said Hengki.

1. Being Questioned as Witnesses

Currently, Iko Uwais and Firmansyah are being questioned as witnesses. "Initially as witnesses, in this stage, we will investigate and ask about their roles and what caused the incident to happen.

"Of course, there is a mechanism. Based on the results of the interrogation, the investigators will hold a case conference. If there is a possibility and sufficient evidence, we will designate them as suspects based on tonight's interrogation," concluded Hengki.

2. Alleged Assault Case

As information, Iko Uwais was reported to have been assaulted by a man named Rudi. Rudi is an interior designer and also a neighbor of Iko Uwais who was involved in a dispute related to an alleged irresponsible collaboration.

Denying the allegations, Iko Uwais has also reported Rudi to the Metro Jaya Police for defamation and assault.
