Antonio Blanco Jr Surprised to Be Paired with Aqeela Calista in 'BUKU HARIAN SEORANG ISTRI', Here's Why

Kapanlagi.com - The soap opera BUKU HARIAN SEORANG ISTRI (BHSI) has a new cast member. She is Aqeela Calista who will be co-starring with Antonio Blanco Jr.

When Antonio Blanco first found out that Aqeela Calista was going to be his co-star, he was a bit surprised. He was worried that they might have trouble building chemistry due to Aqeela's much younger age.

"At first, they told me they were looking for a cast member for me, and it turned out to be Aqeela. She's from DJS, right? Wow, I thought she was much younger. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to build chemistry. Because I'm already 23 years old, I'm afraid our jokes might be different, afraid of offending her," said Antonio Blanco in a virtual press conference on Thursday (16/6/2022).

However, Antonio Blanco Jr's concerns turned out to be unfounded. When they met, Antonio felt that Aqeela was a fun person.

"Turns out we can joke around right away and understand each other's responses. So we quickly blended in," he said.

Aqeela herself admitted that she is a person who quickly blends in with someone she has just met.

"I was always the smallest before. In DJS, I was the smallest. Even though there's a Junior here who's the smallest, I can blend in, Alhamdulillah. I'm easy to blend in with," said Aqeela.

3. Revealing the Storyline

In the BHSI soap opera, Aqeela plays as Amira who is a nurse. She accidentally meets Pasha played by Antonio Blanco Jr when he was almost mugged. They then become closer.

"I play as Amira, she's a nurse. She wanted to become a doctor but couldn't. So Amira became a nurse. Then she finally met Pasha when she was almost mugged. Pasha helped Amira," said Aqeela.
