aespa Releases SMCU Season 1 Poster, Introducing New Genre Video Content

On June 15, 2022 at 10:00 PM WIB, aespa released the poster for SMCU season 1 video through various social media accounts. This cool poster features all four members of aespa with the æ-aespa.

The SMCU world view video is a video content that shows SMCU as the core value and vision of the future entertainment world. Through this video, Chief Producer Soo-Man Lee introduces a new genre called 'CAWMAN'.

Many may still be unfamiliar with the term 'CAWMAN'. It turns out that 'CAWMAN' is an abbreviation for 'Cartoon', 'Animation', 'Web-toon', 'Motion graphic', 'Avatar', and 'Novel'.

2. Don't Miss It

In May 2021, the first episode of the SMCU world view video 'Black Mamba' was released, introducing the identity of aespa and the æ-avatar. In Episode 2 'Next Level', aespa will go to KWANGYA with the help of nævis to solve the SYNK OUT problem that occurred on 'æ'.

Previously, SM held 'SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @TOKYO' on April 27-28, 2022 at Tokyo Dome, Japan. This concert is the first offline concert in 3 years, since 2019, featuring KANGTA, BoA, TVXQ!, SUPER JUNIOR, TAEYEON and HYO GIRLS' GENERATION, ONEW, KEY, and MINHO SHINee, SUHO, CHEN, and KAI EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, aespa, Raiden, and Ginjo.

'SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS' is a concert with a concept of traveling to various cities in different countries by riding the 'SMCU EXPRESS', which shows a compilation of performances by SM Entertainment artists. On January 1, 2022, this concert was watched by approximately 51 million people in 179 countries (based on YouTube data).

SM itself has successfully held 'SMTOWN LIVE' concerts since 2008 in various major cities around the world, such as Seoul, New York, Paris, Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai, Bangkok, Singapore, and Dubai.
