Replacing Vanesha Prescilla in '#TEMANTAPIMENIKAH 2', Mawar De Jongh Hasn't Had a Conversation with Her

Kapanlagi.com - The film #TEMANTAPIMENIKAH starring Adipati Dolken and Vanesha Prescilla has successfully attracted 1.6 million viewers during its release. It's no wonder that Falcon Pictures, the production house, decided to make a sequel to the story of Ayudia Bing Slamet and Ditto Percussion.

However, in the second film, something surprising happened as the lead female role suddenly changed. From Vanesha, Ayudia's character is now played by actress Mawar De Jongh, whose career is currently on the rise.

1. No Communication Yet

To delve into the character of Ayudia, Mawar De Jongh only reads the script given to her or talks to Ayudia Bing Slamet. It turns out that she has never had a conversation with Vanesha Prescilla regarding the role.

"I know Vanesha but I haven't had a chance to talk about this film. Not at all," said Mawar when met at the Falcon Pictures office in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta, on Monday (17/2/2020).

2. More Similar to Ayudia

After the trailer for #TEMANTAPIMENIKAH 2 was released, many netizens commented that Mawar De Jongh resembles Ayudia Bing Slamet more than Vanesha Prescilla. According to Mawar, it is quite reasonable because during filming, the makeup team intentionally gave a little touch to make her look similar to Sekala's mother.

"It's understandable to be compared to Vanesha because we play the same character. But if people say I resemble Kak Ayu, I'm happy because there was actually assistance from the makeup team to make it look similar," said the 19-year-old actress.
