Shareefa Daanish Acknowledges the Difficulty of Acting Without Reactions from Co-Stars in the Film 'MORE THAN EVER'

The story centers on Salim (Donny Alamsyah), a widower who remains faithful to his promise not to remarry after his wife, Rifa (Shareefa Daanish), passes away. However, the presence of Mila (Adinda Thomas) shakes his promise and puts him at a crossroads of dilemma.

Among all the characters, Rifa's role played by Shareefa Daanish is one of the most challenging. This is because Rifa is presented as a spirit who continuously observes her husband's life from a different realm, a role that demands a unique emotional depth.

To bring this character to life, the wife of actor Farri The Sigit admitted to using an unusual method. She chose to delve into and hone the feeling of loneliness within herself.

"To delve into the character, right? For the character Rifa itself, for me, I try to sharpen my solitude, perhaps, sharpen my loneliness to portray Rifa," said Shareefa Daanish when met after the event.

This method was chosen because her character as a supernatural entity cannot interact directly with other characters. She must be able to radiate feelings of longing and loneliness only through observation.

"You could say she becomes her own entity, she becomes a supernatural being that still haunts her husband, so I try to be very lonely," she continued.

The biggest challenge for this mother of one actually comes from the technical aspects. She admitted to having great difficulty acting without receiving direct actions and reactions from her co-stars, even though they are in the same scene. "For me, the hardest part during shooting is figuring out how to act without actions and reactions like that," she concluded.

Despite the challenges, Shareefa hopes this film can be a beautiful gift and a reminder for every couple to continue nurturing their love. More than Forever will be released simultaneously in all cinemas in Indonesia starting August 28, 2025.
