STAR SYNDROME is the latest comedy film from Indonesia. The film, produced by Mahakarya Pictures, is directed by Soleh Solihun. Soleh Solihun is more commonly known as a comedian and journalist. However, this STAR SYNDROME film is the 3rd film he directed. Previously, Soleh Solihun had experience as an assistant director for the films MAU JADI APA? (2017) and REUNI Z (2018).

The film STAR SYNDROME tells the story of a former vocalist who wants to make a comeback in the world of music. The challenges and changes that occur in the present make him more enthusiastic to fight. STAR SYNDROME tells the story of a former vocalist named Jay. He was a famous vocalist in his time. As time went on, Jay's name started to disappear. Because of that, Jay decided to return to the music industry. However, on the other hand, the music industry had also started to develop. After some time, while thinking and striving for his desire, Jay met a woman named Noor. 

Jay's meeting with Noor made him excited to become prominent again in the music industry. Jay decided to duet with Noor to regain his glory in the music stage. Will Jay's struggle to become prominent again go smoothly?

• An extraordinary preparation for the character Jay. According to liputan6.com, Gilang Dirga, who played the character Jay, had to gain weight within just one month. After that, Gilang was also instructed to lose 20 kilograms for a special scene in the film STAR SYNDROME.

• Collaboration with musicians from different generations for the film's soundtrack. Denny Chasmala created a song titled Simpang Siur, Batman from Goodnight Electric created a song titled Hey Kamu, and Didit Saad from the duo Stars and Rabbit produced the song Labrin. These three songs became the soundtrack of this film.
