The story of the JOYS and SORROWS of Tawa follows the journey of Tawa, a comedian who uses the tragedies of his life as stage material, and every joke he throws out stems from childhood wounds that have yet to heal.

Tawa was raised by his mother, Ibu Cantik (Marissa Anita), from childhood until he chose his path to become a comedian.

The departure of his father (Teuku Rifnu Wikana) named Keset since he was a child became an emotional source that shaped his life.

Keset, the father, left Tawa to pursue a career in the television comedy world, creating an emotional distance that continued into adulthood.
