The film 'PSYKOPAT' is confirmed to be released in February 2025, starring Arifin Putra to Irwansyah

Kapanlagi.com - The production house Elior Tesla Pictures and R1 Pictures will soon release their latest film titled PSYCHOPATH. Under the direction of directors Renaldo Samsara and Matthew Hart, PSYCHOPATH attempts to offer something different in the horror genre.

Not only is the storyline different, but the experience offered by PSYCHOPATH will also be unique. Therefore, it is not uncommon for the experiments conducted by the director to present several challenges.

"The biggest challenge during the shooting process from a technical filmmaking perspective was when we had to deal with scenes/sets that were more 360 degrees or camera angles that were directed in all directions. This often affected the sound recording techniques where the sound operator had to maintain their position behind the camera that was constantly moving," explained Renaldo Samsara in a recent written statement.

"From a non-technical perspective, when we had to perform a scene with actors wearing helmets specially designed to support cameras placed in front of their faces. The total weight of the camera along with other accessories is about 4.5 kg, so for the first time, the actors also had to maintain their roles while balancing the operation of the technical side," he added.

The director explained that one of the purposes of using the specially assembled helmet is to allow the audience to feel closer to what each character experiences.

"The hope is certainly to successfully bring a different theme and experience that is accepted by the public. Essentially, PSYKOPAT is not just an exciting film, but it can also be an unforgettable experience after watching it," concluded Renaldo.

This film, produced by Irwansyah, Renaldo Samsara, and Stefanus Dimas Putra, tells the story of Rufus (Arifin Putra), a successful and famous mentalist who invites four participants: Michael (Nino Fernandez), Risma (Nadine Alexandra), Lingga (Irwansyah), and Laila (Hannah Al Rashid) to face the challenge of staying in one of his properties, a luxurious house that was the site of a murder.
