This romance genre film was very popular when it was first released in 2005. DEALOVA is a film adaptation of the novel by Dyan Nuranindya. Now its latest version has been shown in theaters!
 
The film tells the story of Libby's ambition to represent her school in a inter-school basketball competition. However, Libby has a problem with her poor free throw accuracy and her mother's approval. Libby has to hide her basketball hobby from her mother by pretending to be a cheerleader.
 
To improve her skills, she reluctantly asks for help from Tama, a former famous basketball player known for his rude behavior and mischief. She also seeks help from Abi, her mother's friend's son. But on the other hand, Libby has to deal with a new problem as Tama and Abi compete to win Libby's heart.

Besides EIFFEL I'M IN LOVE and AADC, DEALOVA is also one of the films that was loved by many people in the 2000s. Not only that, DEALOVA is also one of the famous films of that era. The proof is that DEALOVA is returning to the big screen with its latest version which will be released on February 22, 2024.

DEALOVA 2024 is not a sequel, but a spin-off. Looking at it from the story perspective, it is quite difficult to develop the story of Kara and her problems in DEALOVA 2005. Therefore, a spin-off seems to be a more appropriate choice for DEALOVA 2024.

DEALOVA 2024 has a synopsis that is not much different from its first film. Both of them tell a story about a love triangle. If in the first film it discusses a love triangle between Kara, Ibel, and Dira, in this latest version it will show a love triangle story between Libby, Abi, and Tama.

Some sequels are usually directed by the same director. But that didn't happen in DEALOVA. In 2005, this film was directed by a director named Dian W. Sasmita, while the latest version was directed by Ray Nayoan.

DEALOVA 2005 has 3 main actors, namely Jessica Iskandar, Ben Joshua, and Evan Sanders. Meanwhile, in the latest version, the main actors are played by Givina Lukita, Harris Vriza, and Pradikta Wicaksono. In both the old and new versions, the three of them will play characters who will experience a love triangle.

DEALOVA 2024 is produced by Flix Pictures. The production house Flix Pictures may still be unfamiliar to us. However, this production house has been making films since 1981, including films such as IRA MAYA CINDERELLA (1981), DEALOVA (2005), OPTATISSIMUS (2013), and now DEALOVA (2024).
