Kapanlagi.com - MD Pictures is preparing to release their latest horror film in July. This time titled IVANNA, which is part of the Danur Universe.
Through IVANNA, Manoj Punjabi as the producer revealed that he and the creative team are trying to fix the Danur Universe timeline that revolves around Risa Saraswati's life. In the film, Risa's age will be the same as her actual age during the events.
"Through the IVANNA film, we stay through Risa's ability. The story is set in the 90s," explained Manoj Punjabi when met by KapanLagi.com at MD Place, Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/6).

MD Pictures started the story of the DANUR film when Risa Saraswati was in her early twenties. However, they used the setting of 2013, where it should have happened in 2007. Those years are what they are trying to match.
"The DANUR film does not match Risa's original timeline. The setting of DANUR should be in 2007, not 2013. Our timeline is off by 10 years because the strategy was different at that time. After becoming a universe, we fixed it," explained Manoj.

The authenticity of the audio-visual adaptation timeline with Risa Saraswati's life story not only happens in IVANNA, but also in the series JURNAL RISA. However, if there is DANUR 4: SENJAKALA, the timeline will follow Risa's age in the movie, not real life.
"The series JURNAL RISA is set in 1995-1996 when Risa was 11 years old. If there is DANUR 4, it must follow the timeline of the movie DANUR 3," said the 49-year-old producer.
The character of the ghost Ivanna has indeed been introduced in DANUR 2: SUNYARURI. However, in its spin-off, the story will be made differently but still under the Danur Universe umbrella.
"The character of Ivanna appeared in DANUR 2. But in this film, we try to make a new story, not too related to the second movie, but still in the same universe. The Ivanna player is also different, we raise the standard to make it fresh again," said Kimo Stamboel as the director in the same opportunity.
