Titi Kamal Says 'Laddaland Housing' Will Test the Audience's Mentality

Titi Kamal returns to star in the horror film LADDALAND HOUSING which will be released on August 13, 2026, adapted from the Thai horror film titled LADDA LAND that had been a topic of conversation. In this film directed by Awi Suryadi, Titi mentions that the audience will be presented with a different experience compared to most horror films, as it relies on terrifying psychological terror.

For the wife of Christian Sugiono, LADDALAND HOUSING is one of the most memorable horror projects. This is because the film not only features shocking scenes but also builds tension gradually, making the audience immerse in the inner turmoil experienced by the characters.

The 44-year-old woman explained that the strength of this film lies in the atmosphere built from the beginning to the end of the story. The audience, Titi said, will remain tense even though they are not always faced with jump scare scenes. "So it's much different because there is really a sense of dread even when there are no jump scares. So from the beginning to the end, our mental and thoughts are really tested. So the audience should come in groups, so they can scream together," she revealed.

Titi believes that behind the various terrors presented, this film still carries a message that is close to everyday life. According to her, family is the best place to return to after facing various life problems. "Whatever happens, family is still number one. We return to family after we are tired of work, everything continues, and when we meet family, that is the most important thing for us. It is our place to return to," she stated.
