Aura Kasih Manages Chicken Farms and Rice Fields for 4 Years

The singer of Mari Bercinta admitted that she is focusing her attention on the food sector, namely chicken farming and rice field management, which she has been doing for the past four years. She made this statement when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta.

"I started four years ago, because my background is from the village, so I really wanted to try business in that area, to learn," said Aura Kasih when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Saturday (1/8/2026).

"I don't like this kind of business, the lifestyle one, I'm not really into that. So, I prefer this one, it's conventional. Because for me, it's about food security," she said.

1. The Motive Behind Food Business Choices

Aura Kasih states that her main goal in venturing into chicken farming and rice farming is to build food independence for herself. She emphasizes the importance of sustainability in managing businesses that are close to the basic needs of the community.

"At least self-sufficient food security first, sustainability like that. If there's money, buy rice fields. My thoughts are more towards that," she said.

She aims to have more rice field land in the future. Her focus remains on a conventional business model that addresses daily needs, rather than chasing lifestyle business lines.

2. The Pandemic as a Starting Point, Choosing Chicken Farming

Aura admits that the idea of developing a food business arose during the Covid-19 pandemic. She began thinking about ways to survive and ensure the supply of basic needs in such uncertain times.

"I've always had a bit of an old-fashioned mindset. Since four years ago, it seems like in the 2020s during Covid, it was really confusing, like what to do during Covid, and if something happens, what do we do, and if nothing happens, just buy rice fields, buy gardens, livestock so that at least we have food independence," she said.

"And for livestock, everyone definitely needs it, because the cheapest protein is chicken. I'm in chicken farming, so chicken will definitely be sought after by people," she added.

3. No Hesitation to Go Down to the Rice Fields and Barn

Although known as a celebrity and a mother of one, Aura Kasih says she has no problem directly managing her livestock and rice fields. She emphasizes that she has been familiar with rural life since childhood.

"No way, my background is from the village, Miss. I used to be in the village. Back in Tasik, you know. So I have been dealing with playing in the rice fields, it's like very normal for me. So it's fine," she concluded.

Aura added that this background makes her comfortable engaging in agricultural and livestock activities. Her direct involvement aligns with her focus on sustainable food security.
