Yasamin Jasem Reveals the Difficulty of the Final Battle Scene in PAKET SANTET

This crucial part not only demands expressions of fear but also intense physical choreography with other actors, including Patih and Aingda.

The scene combines acting and body movement that must appear natural on camera. Yasamin mentioned that preparations were done in stages so that each actor understood the flow of the choreography, starting from trials, rhythm adjustments, to ensuring smooth coordination when filming began.

"Thank you Mas Hasan for the question. The most memorable excitement I remember to this day is... this final battle involves a lot of Patih and Aingda. There’s a lot of lifting and throwing. But at the same time, it shouldn't look too heavy. But I have to throw their bodies, which is quite challenging. How many times did Bu Dina have to say 'Yasamin, your face shouldn't look struggling like that'," Yasamin said when met at CGV Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (18/8/2026).

To achieve the desired results, the training is conducted in several stages. The players are asked to understand the rhythm of the scene, the entry-exit points, and how to adjust the tempo so that the movement transitions remain precise when the camera rotates. Each transition is designed to not appear to exert excessive effort, even though in practice it requires physical strength.

Notes on location are also detailed, including the facial expressions that must remain consistent. Director Dinna Jasanti emphasizes that the intensity of acting should not overshadow the movement requirements, so the impression of the scene remains natural. This goes hand in hand with the need for safety for all the players involved.

The involvement of Patih and Aingda in the choreography makes coordination key. Every moment of lifting and throwing needs to be balanced with camera blocking and the distance between players. Yasamin emphasizes that the harmony among players determines the smoothness of the shot when the climactic moment is recorded.

2. Extreme Movement and Coordination of Performers

The challenge increases because some parts of the choreography include quite extreme movements. According to Yasamin, there are segments that require the performers to stick to the walls, change levels, and even perform body collisions. This element demands precise timing to remain safe while still meeting the dramatic needs of the scene.

Before the camera rolls, the team undergoes many trials to find the most suitable execution. Trial and error are conducted to assess which movements are visually effective without compromising the safety of the performers. Rehearsal time is also used to synchronize the timing and body responses of each performer.

"But actually, the choreography process for this final battle has been really fun from the very beginning of our rehearsals. Especially as we got closer to the end, we hadn't done the playful sticking to the wall, climbing the walls. There are moments where we want to collide, which is very challenging, needing a lot of time and trial and error to get that perfect shot. But when watching, we got it. Hope you enjoy," said Yasamin.

3. Moments that Leave a Mark in PACKAGE SANTET

The experience of working on the climactic scene became one of the moments that Yasamin will always remember from the production of PACKAGE SANTET. Behind the physical demands, she also enjoyed the process of building chemistry from the reading session to being on set, alongside all the cast and crew.

PACKAGE SANTET tells the story of seven students, Deva, Bela, Celia, Ale, Firza, Glen, and Kiki, who become targets of witchcraft through a mysterious package. The terror they experience is related to past events and unresolved wounds.

Produced by BASE Entertainment, this film combines elements of witchcraft, mystery, and gore with conflicts that are closely tied to the lives of young people. Directed by Dinna Jasanti, the screenplay is written by Obe Karel, Titien Wattimena, and Ambaridzki Ramadhantyo, with producers Shanty Harmayn, Aoura Lovenson Chandra, and Tanya Yuson. PACKAGE SANTET is scheduled to be released in Indonesian cinemas starting August 27, 2026.
