Yasmin Napper Admits Being Nervous for the First Time Acting in a Horror Film

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Yasmin Napper admits feeling nervous about her acting debut in a horror film. Yasmin has been chosen to play the character Ainun in the film KIBLAT produced by Leo Pictures Production House.

"This is my first horror film. Honestly, I was nervous when I took this role, and I'm still nervous now. Because during the reading, I was told that the emotions in horror films need to be multiplied several times," said Yasmin Napper during the trailer release of the film KIBLAT, XXI Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (21/3/2024).

"Honestly, this is the most challenging role because there are many changing emotions. There are many long shoots. I am also grateful to Mas Bobby for his great help. The other cast members also support each other," added Yasmin Napper.

1. Initially Hesitant

Initially, Yasmin admitted that she was hesitant to play in a horror film because there were many similar genre films being shown in cinemas. However, her hesitation decreased after reading the script for the film KIBLAT.

"Actually, I didn't want to do horror. Especially since I saw so many horror films. But when I read the script, the story was really exciting," she said.

The character she had to portray made Yasmin interested in being involved in this film. She revealed that the character Ainun, which she played, was the most challenging character she had ever encountered.

2. Has a Moral Message

"The character Ainun is also one of the difficult characters, I have never encountered it before. From the intensity of emotions that I have to maintain, it's interesting," Yasmin explained.

In addition, the moral message conveyed in the film KIBLAT is also one of the reasons why Yasmin accepted the offer. She is always interested in playing roles in films that have a moral message.

"I always like films that have a moral message. So there is something to take away after watching and can be brought home," concluded Yasmin Napper.
