To make it short, Quinn's father seeks help from a paranormal named Elise to save Quinn in the world of The Further. After a successful rescue mission, Elise continues to receive terror from The Lipstick-Face Demon and the battle continues in the next installment of the story.

2. Insidious: The Last Key (2018)

In the second part, you must watch Insidious: The Last Key released in 2018. The film tells the story of young Elise when she first encounters a demon. In that encounter, Elise is successfully deceived and unintentionally releases KeyFace into the world. Due to her carelessness, KeyFace manages to kill her mother and possess Elise's father. KeyFace even starts terrorizing her sister and her two children, Imogen and Melissa. 

To help Melissa, Elise has to return to The Further and unintentionally opens one of the doors that connects to the Lambert Family's house. From that moment on, the door connecting The Further and the real world builds the story in the first Insidious film. 

3. Insidious (2010)

As the first film, Insidious is a continuation of Elise's recklessness in Insidious: The Last Key that causes the Lambert family to be terrorized by The Lipstick-Face Demon. The main target of the demon is Dalton Lambert.

Dalton becomes a victim and is held hostage in The Further by The Lipstick-Face Demon. This leads his father, Josh Lambert, to enter The Further to save Dalton. After bringing Dalton back, it turns out Josh is possessed by the demon and ultimately kills Elise.

4. Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013)

Next in the fourth installment that you should watch is Insidious: Chapter 2. This film connects Elise's past with Josh. In the past, Elise helped Josh escape from The Further by suppressing his abilities and memories.

After Josh successfully sees his memories from the past, he then seeks the help of Elise's colleague to do the same so that he and his family can be free from the terror of the demon. Josh also does this to avoid being connected to The Further world again.

5. Insidious 5: The Red Door (2023)

The fifth film in the Insidious series has been released to continue the story of the Lambert family's struggle to eliminate the terror of demons. This film tells the story of Josh and Dalton 9 years later. Although it has been quite a long time, the demon returns to their lives.

This film will also feature the backstory of Josh and Dalton. Both of them will reenter The Further to solve the mystery of the 'red door' and end all the terror they have experienced.
