Álex Pina, the creator of Money Heist, revealed the following about the upcoming spinoff, discussing its timeline: "It takes the audience back to the time when Berlin was at the peak of his cunningness, when he was robbing Europe."
Previously, Álex Pina had revealed that a spinoff of Money Heist could be made before Berlin was revealed by Netflix.
Álex Pina stated that due to the strong and complex character identities, there is potential for some characters to have their own stories explored in different contexts.
Pedro Alonso will reprise his role as the main character, while the latest trailer revealed that Itziar Ituño will return as a young version of Raquel Murillo.
