The next post-apocalyptic action film series from the creators of MAD MAX, George Miller and Byron Kennedy, titled FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA, is scheduled to be released on May 24, 2024. MAD MAX has had a significant influence on popular culture, especially in post-apocalyptic fiction. This film series tells the adventures of Max Rockatansky, a police officer in future Australia where social collapse occurs due to conflict and extreme scarcity of natural resources. Anya Taylor-Joy, will portray the role of Imperator Furiosa. Previously, Anya Taylor-Joy starred in other famous films such as The Queen's Gambit, The VVitch, and others.

Chris Hemsworth portrays Warlord Dementus, who will be the antagonist in this film. Chris Hemsworth has also starred in other films such as Extraction, The Cabin in the Woods, and Men in Black: International, in addition to his role as Thor.

Tom Burke will also appear in this film, although his role has not been revealed in detail. Tom Burke's notable roles include Dolokhov in the 2016 BBC miniseries War & Peace, which is an adaptation of the classic novel, as well as Athos in the 2014-2016 BBC series, The Musketeers.

In addition to the new characters joining the latest Mad Max film, stars from Mad Max: Fury Road like Nathan Jones will reprise their role as Rictus Erectus.

Angus Sampson, a star from Mad Max: Fury Road, will also reprise his role as Organic Mechanic.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will be directed and co-written by George Miller, the creator of the Mad Max world. George Miller previously directed the previous Mad Max film, Fury Road.

Imperator Furiosa, the main character portrayed by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road, will be the main focus of this film. The film will depict flashbacks of her character.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga was initially scheduled to be released on June 23, 2023, but in the end, the release of this film was postponed until May 24, 2024.
