KRAVEN THE HUNTER is the next Marvel live-action film starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the main character from Sony that will tell the origin story of the villain and anti-hero from Spider-Man comic history. Sergei Kravinoff, or Kraven, is a founding member of the Sinister Six and was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. In Marvel comics, Kraven is portrayed as a Russian nobleman whose family had to migrate to America in 1917 because of the February Revolution. After becoming an expert hunter, Kraven targets Spider-Man in an attempt to become the world's greatest hunter. Although the exact storyline of KRAVEN THE HUNTER is still kept secret, a snippet from Sony's CinemaCon revealed that Aaron Taylor-Johnson will face a number of enemies. This is shown in the trailer for KRAVEN THE HUNTER, which features a young version of Kraven seemingly gaining his powers and using them to fight his enemies like Rhino, The Foreigner, Chameleon, and others. The film's writer, Richard Wenk, also revealed that the storyline of Kraven's Last Hunt from Marvel Comics will be an inspiration for the film.
