Who has watched Henry Cavill's action in the series THE WITCHER? Well, this fantasy series will now have a spin-off titled THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN.

Unlike THE WITCHER, this prequel spin-off will not follow Geralt of Rivia in his journey. THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN will instead expand the history of the world where the Netflix series takes place.

The Netflix description for this series reads, "Every story has a beginning. Witness the untold history of the Continent with THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN, a new prequel series set 1200 years before the events of THE WITCHER.”

The two biggest names attached to the prequel series are Michelle Yeoh, who previously appeared in SHANG-CHI as Scian, a surviving member of a group of elves, and Sir Lenny Henry as the head Druid Balor.

THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN is helmed by two directors. Sarah O'Gorman, who worked on CURSED and THE LAST KINGDOM, and Vicky Jewishon, who previously worked on CLOSE and BORN OF WAR.

The creator of WITCHER, Andrzej Sapkowski, will join as a creative consultant, and showrunner of THE WITCHER, Lauren S. Hissrich, will act as executive producer for the series.

BLOOD ORIGIN is a mini-series that serves as a prequel to THE WITCHER, with six episodes planned for the upcoming series.

There is no exact release date for THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN. But what is certain is that the show will arrive on Netflix in 2022.

Don't worry because the filming process of this fantasy prequel has been completed and is currently undergoing post-production. So please be patient.
