We perceive celebrities as beautiful and popular figures, who are always praised without knowing their true lives. Lives that seem perfect often make others jealous. However, everything shown in the media is not always in line with their real lives.
 
It is not uncommon for them to be struggling with the illnesses they have, especially mental health issues. This is certainly not easy, especially if the problem disrupts their daily activities. Remarkably, some of them continue to strive for recovery and rise. Not only that, some of them dare to open up about their experiences, packaged in interesting documentary films that can inspire fans and viewers.

LEWIS CAPALDI: HOW I'M FEELING NOW (2023) - This Netflix documentary series tells the story of musician Lewis Capaldi, the creator of the song Someone You Loved, who is currently battling with mental health and Tourette's syndrome amidst his rising popularity. Despite the challenges, he never gives up and uses it as a source of strength in his career and to entertain his fans.

SELENA GOMEZ: MY MIND AND ME (2022) - Apple TV+ released this documentary film about actress Selena Gomez, who is actually dealing with mental disorders such as depression, bipolar, and anxiety, to the point of being admitted to a psychiatric hospital. This happened as a side effect of the Lupus disease she has been suffering from for a long time.

BILLIE EILISH: THE WORLD'S A LITTLE BLURRY (2021) - Apple TV+ also released the documentary film about Billie Eilish, which tells her struggles with anxiety, depression, and Tourette's syndrome. The film also features her brief encounters with Justin Bieber and Katy Perry that garnered attention.

DEMI LOVATO: DANCING WITH THE DEVIL (2021) - Tells the story of her struggle with negative thoughts that often hurt herself and suffering from bulimia, and almost losing her life due to drug overdose. Her struggle will be presented in four episodes series released on YouTube.

After this film was released, many other celebrities showed support through the #FreeBritney movement.

JUSTIN BIEBER: SEASONS (2020) - Revealing Justin Bieber's life under the entertainment industry and achieving popularity turned out to not make him happy. His free lifestyle dragged him into drug addiction and mental health problems. This film also tells the story of his battle with Lyme disease, the process of making the album Changes, and his marriage with his wife.
