Prediction for Best Director at the 2021 Oscars, Female Directors Dominating

3. Aaron Sorkin

The film THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7 tells the story of the trial investigation of the Chicago 7 conspiracy, a group of defendants charged with conspiracy and incitement to riot during the anti-Vietnam War protests in 1968. With multiple producers such as Stuart M. Besser, Matt Jackson, Marc Platt, and Tyler Thompson. Featuring several stars, including Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Sacha Baron Cohen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Keaton, John Carroll Lynch, Eddie Redmayne, Mark Rylance, Alex Sharp, and Jeremy Strong.

4. Lee Isaac Chung

MINARItells the story of a Korean-American family who moves to a rural area in Arkansas in 1980 to change their lives. Along with their two children, they move with the hope of adapting to the situation. This Korean family also has to deal with cultural differences and stereotypes from the surrounding community towards immigrants. Starring Steven Yeun, Yeri Han, Alan S. Kim, Yuh-jung Youn, and Will Patton in this film. Several producers are involved in the making of the film such as Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Christina Oh.

5. Regina King

ONE NIGHT IN MIAMI is a film adapted from a musical work by Kemp Powers. This film tells the story of the meeting of four black stars in 1964, namely Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, Sam Cooke, and Jim Brown, an NFL star. Their meeting took place in a motel, and in that meeting, it felt how sincere a friendship between them that inspired. In addition, the film shows how the four of them are at a turning point in their lives. Then two of them will be killed next year.
