'WONDER WOMAN 1984' Success, Warner Bros Confirms Film Will Be Released

Kapanlagi.com - Warner Bros has announced that the third sequel of WONDER WOMAN will definitely be released. This statement was obtained from Warner Bros boss, Toby Emmerich. The third sequel will still be starring Gal Gadot and directed by Patty Jenkins. In addition, Variety also reported that there are still no details of the synopsis for the third sequel of the film.

Meanwhile, this film directed by Patty Jenkins has successfully earned Rp 511 billion during the holiday and Christmas weekend screenings. Of that amount, Rp 236 billion came from theaters in America and Canada. From this, it can be seen that the film remains successful despite the Corona virus pandemic and does not stop WONDER WOMAN 1984 from entering the box office.

"WONDER WOMAN 1984 broke records and exceeded our expectations in all viewing metrics and our key customers in the first 24 hours of service, and the interest and momentum we see indicate that this is likely to continue long after the weekend," said Warner Media's Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Direct-To-Consumer Division, Andy Forssell.

"During these difficult times, it is very satisfying to provide families with the option to enjoy this delightful film at home, where going to the theater is not an option." The success of the film is a strong reason why Warner Bros will make its third sequel.

However, unfortunately, despite achieving success at the box office, there are some criticisms about this film. Many say that the story falls below expectations, then there are inconsistencies in the plot and low-quality CGI. Even the score of WONDER WOMAN 1984, which was initially 88% on the Rotten Tomatoes website, dropped to 65%. However, Gal Gadot's role in playing the character of Wonder Woman received much praise and won the hearts of many viewers.
