To look more like a ghost, the plan was for this serial killer to wear a white robe. The idea changed when the filmmakers began to worry that people would associate this character with the Ku Klux Klan.

2. The Voice Behind the Phone

The only chance to hear Ghostface's voice is through the phone. The actor is Roger Jackson, who has appeared in all four films to date. Jackson has provided the voice of Ghostface as he kills his victims over the phone.

Jackson did a great job of delivering a normal yet sinister voice. During the filming of the first SCREAM, Jackson was actually on the other end of the phone while Neve Campbell and Drew Barrymore filmed their scenes.

3. Prank on Set

5. Name

While the name Ghostface has become the identity of this iconic killer, the original script did not give them a name. They were initially referred to as a masked killer without a physical description.

In the film, when Tatum Riley is confronted by the killer, she is the first person to call him Ghostface. However, initially when Dewey brings the costume from the store to the police station, the label on the Ghostface costume reads "Father Death."
