STAR WARS Series, 'OBI-WAN KENOBI' Highlights the Jedi Knight's Healing Process After Being Betrayed by His Disciple

OBI-WAN KENOBI takes viewers through the moments of healing for the Jedi knight after discovering that his trusted disciple has crossed over to the dark side. This new series on Disney+ expands the STAR WARS mythology for fans and streaming enthusiasts. 

It is told that Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) decides to go into seclusion after his disciple, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen), turns from a Jedi Knight to a Sith who embraces the dark side within himself. 

The healing process is not just a personal matter, as the Jedi are also being targeted by the Galactic Empire, which has a mission to eradicate all knights. Obi-Wan chooses to calm himself first. However, how long can he live in peace? 

OBI-WAN KENOBI will have a total of 6 episodes. We will not be inundated with fight scenes or space battles. Instead, the inner journey of Obi-Wan in facing internal conflicts and his efforts towards healing will be the main focus.

After his battle with Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan chose to seclude himself and heal. Not only that, he also has a special mission to watch over Anakin's two children who are now orphaned.

Director Deborah Chow mentioned that OBI WAN KENOBI will be approached like LOGAN or JOKER. Where the psychological side of the main character will be explored deeply. "It's very exciting when you can take a specific character from a big franchise and delve into it," said Deborah in a press conference as quoted by The Direct.

OBI WAN KENOBI will take place right after the film REVENGE OF THE SITH. Where Obi Wan and the Jedi become fugitives of the Empire.
