A USEFUL GHOST presents a ghost story in a different way. Instead of being scary, this film combines love stories, fantasy, and political history, offering a warm yet meaningful viewing experience. Through this film, the audience is invited to reflect on the relationship between life, death, and the lingering wounds of the past.
Directed by Bangkok filmmaker, Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke, who previously gained recognition through the short film RED AANINSRI: OR, TIPTOEING ON THE STILL TREMBLING BERLIN WALL (2020), this work has already achieved great success by winning the Grand Prix at Critics’ Week Cannes 2025. After that, A USEFUL GHOST continued its journey to the Busan International Film Festival 2025 as one of the most anticipated Asian films.
