Synopsis of 'MULAN', a Strong Female Warrior Who Must Defy Tradition

Kapanlagi.com - MULAN is one of the films awaited by Disney fans this year.Initially, Mulan was scheduled to be released in theaters on March 27, 2020.However, due to the pandemic that has affected the whole world, Disney finally canceled the original plan.In order to still be watched by film fans, Disney decided to release Mulan on the Disney Plus video streaming platform or over the top (OTT) in September.

Who will portray the character of Mulan? The main character Mulan will be played by the beautiful actress Liu Yifei.Almost similar to the animated version, the main storyline also revolves around the same issues as the cartoon Mulan.In this film, Liu Yifei will act alongside Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Yoson An, Gong Li, and Jet Li.

The character of Mulan in this film is the eldest daughter of Hua Zhou who defies tradition and law, by disguising herself as a man to replace her sick father, Hua Zhou (Liu Yifei). This story begins because the Chinese empire issued an announcement that there was one boy from a family who had to serve in the Imperial Army to defend the country from the Hun Nation's attacks.

However, in Mulan's family, her father was the only male, but Mulan's father's condition was very weak and it was not possible for him to go to war. Therefore, Mulan finally decided to disguise herself as a man so that her father would not be forced to go to the battlefield. Mulan then took her father's war equipment and went to the Army's soldier training place. All members of the Army, including Commander Tung (Donnie Yen), Mulan's mentor, did not realize that Mulan was a woman.

Well, for the continuation of Mulan's story, we can wait for it on the Disney Plus platform on September 4, 2020.
