Tom Dolan (Liam Neeson) is a former marine and a notorious bank robber nicknamed the In-and-Out Bandit because he always succeeds in his heists. He has robbed 12 banks with a total of over USD 9 million without ever being caught.

His life changes after meeting Annie Wilkins (Kate Walsh), a graduate psychology student. For love, Tom decides to leave the criminal world and turn himself in to the FBI in hopes of receiving a lighter sentence.
