Following INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR currently playing in theaters, Warner Bros releases a new trailer for The Conjuring franchise, titled THE NUN II. THE NUN II will add to the lineup of Hollywood horror films in 2023.

This horror film, directed by Michael Chaves, once again features the demonic figure Valak resembling a nun with a series of terrifying horrors. The screenplay for THE NUN II is known to be written by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and Akela Cooper, focusing on the story after Sister Irene's first encounter with terror.

THE NUN II will be starring Taissa Farmiga, actor Jonas Bloquet and Bonnie Aarons. In addition, new faces such as Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell and Katelyn Rose Downey will also be featured in this film.

After the first incident where Valak terrorized Sister Irene, she experiences another terror focusing on the year 1956 with France as the setting. Sister Irene is once again confronted with Valak, who has been hiding within the body of her close friend, Maurice.

Valak, who was thought to be destroyed, has actually been hiding within Maurice's body, as shown when Maurice suddenly falls in the school garden. In addition, a girl named Sophie claims to have seen the Nun.

Sister Irene, who begins to realize Valak's presence, is haunted by past terrors. In 'THE NUN II', Valak appears for the first time before Sister Irene in fragmented images on the wall. Ultimately, for the sake of her own peace and the people around her, Sister Irene must fight against Valak's terror.
