38th Golden Disk Awards with Mandiri Will be Held at Jakarta International Stadium in January 2024

Kapanlagi.com - Golden Disk Awards will be held in Jakarta. This is one of the most anticipated awards events for K-Pop fans worldwide. The event honors outstanding singers throughout the year. 

According to OSEN, the official team of Golden Disk Awards or GDA announced this news on Tuesday (31/10/2023). "The 38th Golden Disk Awards with Mandiri will be held at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Indonesia, on January 6, 2024."

Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) can accommodate up to 80,000 people. This venue will also be used for the U-17 World Cup held on November 10. The event is also supported by Bank Mandiri as a sponsor.

"The influence of K-Pop in the global market is slowly expanding and the demand from Asia to meet K-Pop artists continues. To continue this trend, we provide a platform where domestic fans and foreign music fans can communicate through K-Pop. Therefore, we decided to hold this event in Jakarta to create a place for it," said a representative from GDA.

This is the fifth time GDA has been held outside of South Korea. Previously, this event has been held in Japan, Malaysia, China, and Thailand.

GDA itself has always chosen popular music that is loved by music fans throughout the year and has been held since 1986. Since the 21st edition, awards have been given for the digital and album categories, following the trend of music consumption patterns from physical albums to digital. The nominees for the 38th GDA will be announced on the official website and social media accounts on December 4th.
