1. Strong Reasons and Importance of Conducting Remastering Project

In the conference, they unanimously conveyed that the history of SM Entertainment, which is valuable, underlies this project. SM Entertainment is the first entertainment company in South Korea to launch its official YouTube channel in 2009. 2009 is a significant year for K-pop. From Gee by Girls Generation and SORRY, SORRY by SUPER JUNIOR to MIROTIC by TVXQ. In that year, the term K-Pop went global, so there is no valid reason not to re-upload past idol works that are cool. This was directly conveyed by Sun Lee, who is the Youtube Head of Music Partnerships Korea & Greater China.

Furthermore, they also believe that technological advancements also contribute to the background of this Remastering Project. With the rapid development of technology, it can also support the remaking of idol works with better and more presentable quality. However, even though technological advancements are one of the reasons and backgrounds, the existing technology is still unable to remaster all existing works.
