Debut as a Boyband in Indonesia, UN1TY Shares Training Experience - Most Memorable Moment with Fans

Kapanlagi.com - UN1TY is now a popular boyband in Indonesia. The journey to reach their current position was not easy. Audition process, training, and finally debut were undergone by the 8 UN1TY members.

"We formed the group through online auditions with over 500 participants, then narrowed down to 30, and finally 19 people remained. We trained for 6 weeks, with weekly assessments, and eventually formed a group of 8," Farhan shared during his appearance at the KapanLagi Korean Festival with other members.

"The training was extensive, including dance, vocals, learning to hold back ego, and understanding each other as members," he added.

1. Want to Fill the Void

In the homeland, the emergence of boy bands can be said to no longer be as popular as before. Seeing this, UN1TY is trying to come and fill the existing void.

"Because in Indonesia there hasn't been a boy band for a long time, and the market is empty. Then we want to fill this void, want to color Indonesian music with a boy band again," said Zweitson.

UN1TY also revealed some memorable moments for them. One unforgettable experience is going to Korea with their loyal fans.

"Many times with fans, when we were together with Unity, we went to Korea. When we were with fans, we often took photos together, sang together. And on Twitter, our hashtag #unit was trending by Younit (fanbase)," said Zweitson.

3. Communication with Fans

Speaking of fans, it turns out that UN1TY members always maintain communication with Younity even during a pandemic like now. Social media is a common platform used by UN1TY to greet their fans.

"We still can't do meet and greet. We greet fans virtually, like on Instagram, Vlive, Twitter," said Fenly.

4. Funny Experiences in the Dorm

Since their debut, the 8 members of UN1TY have been living together in a dorm. Until now, there have been several funny incidents that they have experienced. For example, when one of the members got locked in the bathroom.

"So, at that time, I was taking a shower, the bathroom was locked, and I was about to come out, but the key was broken so I couldn't open it. My friends tried to help and even broke the door, but I still couldn't get out. As a result, I caught a cold," they said.
