Jin BTS's Answer About Mandatory Military Service Successfully Makes Fans Emotional

In this press conference, the BTS members explained the details of their latest album and answered questions from fellow press members. Although they mostly discussed the MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 album, the highlight of this press conference was the question about when Jin will fulfill his mandatory military service.

Jin, the oldest member of BTS, is already 29 years old (Korean age) in 2020, the right age to fulfill his military duty. When asked about when he will serve in the military, Jin explained that there is still no decision on when he will undertake that national duty.

Talking about military duty is a sensitive topic, but Jin believes that military duty is an obligation. He admitted that he will fulfill his duty to the best of his ability. "I will serve in the military after receiving the call, whenever that may be," said the singer of the song Idol briefly.

Jin's statement about military duty has made BTS fans sad because they have to prepare themselves for a temporary separation from their idols. They flooded the comment section with their heartfelt expressions regarding the statement.

One fan wrote a touching message in response to this and garnered thousands of likes from other fans, "...I will try to be mature, not cry, and wait for him to complete his 18-month duty. I believe this fandom is strong enough to wait for them all to gather again, even if it takes 10 years. If they won't come back together, they won't leave us in sadness. They will continue to show their love in different ways, and Jungkook's tattoo is proof of that.
