Joining the Yacht Expedition Variety Show, Choi Siwon Reveals the Biggest Challenge When in the Middle of the Sea

Kapanlagi.com - A while ago, Choi Siwon surprised fans by joining a variety show titled Yacht Expedition. Siwon's appearance with a thick beard during this variety show became the center of attention.

Yacht Expedition itself is a documentary-style variety show with four male participants (Jin Goo, Choi Siwon, Jang Ki Ha, and Song Ho Jun) who are challenged to sail the Pacific Ocean on a cruise ship. Their voyage is led by Kim Seung Jin, an experienced sailor who is the first Korean to sail around the world non-stop.

Prior to the premiere of this variety show on August 17, 2020, at 8:30 PM local time, the participants and crew of Yacht Expedition held a press conference on Wednesday (12/8/2020) yesterday. Each participant revealed their impressions during their participation in this variety show, including Choi Siwon.

1. Learn a Lot

Choi Siwon was chosen by PD Song Ji Woong because he knew that this Super Junior member likes challenges and new adventures. Siwon immediately agreed when he received an offer to join this variety show.

"This is a difficult combination to find. I really want to work with all the members and the captain, so I made a quick decision. The captain pays a lot of attention to us. I learned a lot from him," said Siwon as quoted from Soompi.

"I think differently when facing new challenges, I have to think more carefully about what needs to be done," he added jokingly.

2. Challenges During Sailing

As the youngest participant, Siwon is considered as someone who works very hard by the sailing captain, Kim Seung Jin. He admitted that he had to adapt to many things while being far from land.

"It feels uncomfortable to sleep. The ship is always damp and never really dry. At first, it wasn't easy to sleep in a place that's always wet. I'm amazed because Jang Ki Ha never gets seasick even once. I'm not worried about my image as an idol. I think positively that showing another side of myself is a good thing. This is not a situation where I can shave regularly. I decided that I will honestly show the camera the situation like this is what we face," he concluded.
