IU plays the role of Seong Hee-joo, the intelligent, ambitious, and competitive second daughter of the Castle Group. Although born into a wealthy family, her status as a commoner (non-noble) becomes a barrier that leads Hee-joo to propose a strategic marriage to elevate her social standing, which marks the beginning of the romance and main conflict of this drama.
