Release of Single 'So Bad', UN1TY Happy to Greet Fans Directly

Kapanlagi.com - UN1TY has just released their latest single titled So Bad. This is their 8th single which tells the story of a couple trapped in the friendzone relationship. Fenly, Farhan, Shandy, Fiki, Fajri, Gilang, Ricky, and Zweitson also talk about the song.

"This 8th single is very different from the previous ones and also different in terms of genre," said Fenly when met at CGV Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (26/1).

"In terms of the theme, it's about a boy and a girl who have feelings for each other. But the girl keeps playing hard to get. So the boy is like, let's just be together now. The main point is that they want to have a status in their relationship," he continued.

1. Involving International Composers

For this song, they also collaborated with international composers Hyuk Shin and MRey from 153CreatorsClub and Jeff Lewis.

Hyuk Shin himself is the first Korean producer and composer to break into the US Billboard Top 200 chart at #13 with the song One Less Lonely Girl. He is also the person behind the success of EXO's song Growl. Hyuk Shin has also created dozens of hits for SHINee, Monsta X, Super Junior, and many more.

"Thank God, this is our first collaboration with an international composer. It can be said that this is a hope and a stepping stone for us to reach the next level. Hopefully, our listeners, especially YouN1T (UN1TY fans), can truly enjoy it," explained Fenly.

2. Challenges During MV Shooting

They also shared the process of making their music video, which turned out to be quite exhausting because they had to endure the heat.

"The process of making the music video took two days in Tanjung Priok, which had containers. The challenge throughout the day was that the access to the toilet was a bit difficult," said Shandy while laughing.

"The challenge was that we had to smile even in the heat," added Fenly.

3. Meeting Fans in Person

UN1TY is also happy because for the first time they held an offline event through the release of this single So Bad. They were also surprised by the extraordinary reception of meeting YouN1T in person.

"This is the first time we have done an offline music video premiere and we are very grateful for the enthusiasm. We didn't expect it to be so amazing," said Fiki.

"Seeing YouN1T in person makes us very happy. We hope that in 2022 we can greet YouN1T in all cities in Indonesia," continued Ricky.

Previously, good news for YOUN1T! At the end of 2021, UN1TY completed the recording process for 2 new songs and also filmed 1 music video to be released starting in January 2022.

For these two new singles, UN1TY & Patrick Effendy collaborated with several foreign composers from Korea & the United States. The first song to be released in January 2022 involves Hyuk Shin and MRey from

153CreatorsClub and Jeff Lewis. The recording process for the first song was completed in November 2021, and the MV shooting took place on December 19, 2021.
