Kapanlagi.com - Rian D Masiv is becoming more known among K-Pop fans since covering K-Pop songs like Suho EXO's Let's Love and DAY6's Zombie.

When he became a guest star at KapanLagi Korean Festival Day 2 on Sunday (26/7), Rian admitted that he was very happy to be involved in this event. Because it was his first time performing at an event that discusses K-Pop.

"I'm really happy, this is my first experience being invited to an event that talks about K-Pop and it's also virtual, so we didn't meet in person but it's still fun because this is Rian's first experience being invited as a K-Pop fan who is still very new, very brand new, hehe," said Rian.

1. Experience Performing in South Korea

Before telling the story, Rian used to like K-Pop music. He shared his experience of performing in South Korea for the first time in 2011.

"Actually, in 2011, D'Masiv performed in Korea. There was a TV show there, and we performed together with T-Ara if I'm not mistaken," Rian said.

During the performance on that show, Rian did not expect that many South Koreans actually liked D'Masiv's songs.

"It was a funny experience performing in Korea. It turned out that many South Koreans liked us when they watched D'Masiv. At that time, we performed songs like 'Sudahi Perih Ini,' 'Apa Salahku,' 'Rindu Setengah Mati,' and 'Cinta Ini Membunuhku.' Some South Koreans approached us and said they liked D'Masiv's songs, maybe because the melodies are similar to Korean movie soundtracks," he continued.

2. First Korean Song Listened

Finally, Rian asked some Koreans who approached him who the popular singer was at that time.

"So finally I had the chance to ask them who the big singer was and they told me that Kim Bum Soo's songs are good. The first Korean song I heard was actually a song that became the soundtrack of a movie or something like that. The singer is Kim Bum Soo, if I'm not mistaken, the title is Bogoshipda, which means I Miss You, if I'm not mistaken," he said.

Lately, he has started to search for K-Pop songs from EXO to TWICE. "So since then, I started to find out and it turns out Korean songs are good. Until finally (now) I follow EXO, and from the kids (I like) TWICE and so on," he concluded.
