Star in the Remake of 'MIRACLE IN CELL NO 7', Mawar De Jongh Relaxed Compared to Park Shin Hye

Kapanlagi.com - Falcon Pictures bought the rights to adapt the South Korean film titled MIRACLE IN CELL NO 7 which was released in 2013. The Indonesian remake version is directed by Hanung Bramantyo and stars Vino G Bastian and child actor Graciella Abigail as the main characters Dodo and young Kartika.

In addition to Vino and Graciella, Mawar De Jongh is also involved. She plays the adult version of the character Kartika, which in the Korean version is played by Park Shin Hye.

1. Trying to Give the Best

Considering a remake of a previously successful film, it will certainly become a comparison arena. Even so, Mawar responded calmly because she already knew what consequences would be received.

"It will definitely be compared. But from the beginning, I had to know that I joined a South Korean remake film admired by many people. I tried to give my best. So if there are people who compare, at least I have tried," said Mawar in a virtual conference session, Monday (11/5/2020).

2. There Are Adjustments

In line with Mawar De Jongh, Vino G Bastian also said the same thing. However, before being compared, the audience must understand that in a remake, there will certainly be adjustments.

"Because this is a remake film, there will definitely be comparisons. But we have to pay attention to the background of the character, it can't be apple to apple," said Marsha Timothy's husband.
