On July 18, 2025, Korean time, the Supreme Court officially sentenced Yang Hyun Suk, the executive producer of YG Entertainment, to one year of probation. He was found guilty of intimidating Han Seo Hee, who was an informant in the drug case involving rapper B.I.

If this probation is violated, Yang Hyun Suk will immediately face a six-month prison sentence. This ruling also reinforces the verdict handed down by the previous appellate court.

This case began when Han Seo Hee, who was being investigated for drug use in 2016, named B.I as a potential buyer of illegal drugs.

In the first-level court, Yang Hyun Suk was found not guilty of the threat charges due to a lack of strong evidence.

After the prosecution filed an appeal, the second-level court determined that Yang Hyun Suk used his position as a senior executive of a major agency to pressure witnesses.

The judge stated that Yang Hyun Suk's actions had significantly obstructed the course of justice. The Supreme Court ultimately upheld the ruling and imposed an official probation period.
