The Story of Gitlicious, the Author of 'My Lecturer My Husband' as a Fangirl, Loyal to EXO Since 2013 - Lay Turns Out Not the First Bias

Kapanlagi.com - EXO fans may have heard that the novel 'My Lecturer My Husband', which is based on Lay's fanfiction, will be made into a film/series by MD Entertainment. The novel was written by Gitlicious (pen name), who is also commonly known as Mbak Git.

Kapanlagi.com had the opportunity to ask Mbak Git about her life as a fangirl before she became known as a writer. Of course, most of the questions were about EXO, her favorite idol boyband and also her inspiration, especially her bias, Lay. She admitted that she has liked the boyband from SM Entertainment since 2013.

"The song 'Growl' is what made me fall in love and curious about this boyband, until I found out and followed their developments. My initial bias was not Lay. When I first started liking EXO, my bias was Luhan. Yes, after Luhan left EXO, I finally realized the charm of this Chinese lamb (Lay's nickname). His natural musical talent, mesmerizing dance skills, friendly, gentle, kind-hearted, and hardworking personality impressed me," Mbak Git shared.

1. Likes Watching Dramas Too

As a K-Pop fan, Mbak Git is like any other fan who buys merchandise, attends concerts, and so on. She can also be considered loyal as an EXO-L because she doesn't really follow other groups. However, Mbak Git also likes watching K-Dramas.

"Of course, inspiration for writing sometimes comes after watching Korean dramas. My all-time favorite drama is REPLY 1988, and my favorite actor is Hyun Bin," she said.

2. Wishes for Lay

As mentioned earlier, Lay is an idol and inspiration for Mbak Git. The man whose real name is Zhang Yixing is now hugely successful in China as a singer, producer, actor, commercial model, and variety show star. As a fan, Mbak Git is definitely happy to see Lay's achievements.

"I'm happy to see my idol succeed, his hard work is my motivation to create. I hope Lay can achieve even greater success in the future, always be healthy and happy," she concluded.
