The Struggle of Loudi, ex 14U, to Become a K-Pop Idol, 6 Hours of Dance Practice Without Rest

Kapanlagi.com - Apart from Dita Karang who successfully debuted with the K-Pop girl group Secret Number, there was also an Indonesian who debuted as a K-Pop Idol, a man from Jogja, Loudi, who became a member of the boyband 14U. Unfortunately, the group has now disbanded.

When he was a guest at the Kapanlagi Korean Festival Day 2, on Sunday (26/7), Loudi shared his journey of becoming a K-Pop Idol.

"I was confused because there were also many foreigners who went to Korea for training and so on. But they have friends from the same country, like from China or America. But I was alone and didn't know anyone. I faced many difficulties, like the language," said Loudi.

"Because I initially studied there and then entered the entertainment industry as a trainer, I already knew it would be tough, not sleeping, and so on. When I really went through it, it was like, wow," he continued.

1. 6 Hour Dance Practice Without Rest

One of the most memorable things for him as a trainer was when he was asked to practice dance for 6 hours without rest. Not to mention that he had to master all types of dance.

"What I remember the most is when there was a 6-hour dance class without any rest. We were trained in various dances like b-boy, house, swing, and even capoeira. It was something I had never tried before and never imagined doing," he explained.

2. Never Felt Any Competition

On the other hand, when it comes to competition among K-Pop idols, Loudi never felt that way. According to him, each group has its own unique characteristics, so there is no need to compete with other groups.

"Personally, I don't feel any competition. When I see it myself, when we go to music shows, we already know our own place, our own color, and our own character. Since everything is different, there is no desire or thought of competing and defeating others. That's how I personally feel," concluded Loudi.
