Winwin Leaves NCT, Ends Contract with SM Entertainment

Kapanlagi.com - SM Entertainment announced that Winwin will no longer continue his exclusive contract with the agency. Along with the end of this collaboration, the Chinese idol is also confirmed to end all of his activities as a member of NCT.

This decision will take effect on July 9, 2026. According to SM Entertainment, the agreement was reached after in-depth discussions between the agency and Winwin.

1. SM Entertainment Announces End of Collaboration

Through an official statement released on Wednesday (7/8/2026), SM Entertainment explained that Winwin's exclusive contract will end starting July 9, 2026.

"After in-depth discussions with our artist, Winwin, we agreed to terminate the exclusive contract effective from July 9, 2026. Thus, Winwin will also end all his activities as a member of NCT," wrote SM Entertainment.

The announcement also confirms that Winwin will no longer be part of NCT activities after his contract ends.

2. Closing the Journey with NCT

Winwin debuted as a member of NCT in 2016. Three years later, he also joined the sub-unit WayV which was formed in 2019.

During his time as part of NCT, he participated in various activities with NCT 127 and WayV, ranging from music promotions, concerts, to other group activities.

With this decision, Winwin's journey as a member of NCT officially ends after nearly a decade of career with the group.

3. Agency Sends Thank You Message

In addition to announcing the end of the contract, SM Entertainment also expressed appreciation to Winwin for their time together since his trainee days.

"We are very grateful to Winwin, who has been with SM Entertainment for more than 10 years since his trainee days. We cherish every moment we have shared together and will wholeheartedly support his new journey," said the agency.

As of now, there has been no further information regarding his next activity plans or the new agency where Winwin will continue his career after leaving SM Entertainment and NCT.
