47 Years of Creating, Indra Lesmana Holds His First and Last Solo Concert

However, throughout his career, Indra Lesmana had never held a solo concert. Until this year, he is ready to hold a concert entitled 'Indra Lesmana Legacy Concert'.

1. New Reason to Hold a Concert

Indra Lesmana revealed his reason for holding his first solo concert after 47 years of creating music.

"Honestly, I just love creating music. I never thought that a work should be marked by 10 years of creating, 20 years of creating, 30 years of creating. I never saw it as an achievement," said Indra Lesmana at a press conference at The Dharmawangsa, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/6).

"I do love making music, I love creating, I always want to find something new, I always want to learn new lessons from what I see and feel, so it turns out that I haven't had a solo concert in 47 years. Maybe it's just unintentional, it's only now that I realize how fast time flies," he continued.

2. First and Last Concert

'Indra Lesmana Legacy Concert' is not only the first solo concert but also the last concert for Indra Lesmana.

"Yes, that's because I've been working for 47 years and just made a solo concert like this now. If after this concert I focus again on my works, I will need another 47 years to make a similar concert. It seems impossible for me to make a concert waiting for another 47 years," he explained.

3. Involving Many Musicians

This concert also involves many musicians including Eva Celia, Monita Tahalea, Andien, Lyodra, Ardhito Pramono, Teza Sumendra, Tompi, Once, Kaka Slank, Dewa Budjana, Maliq and D Essentials, and also four music arrangers Tohpati, Addie MS, Adra Karim, and Indra Perkasa.

"Yes, there are several young singers who participate, Lyodra is the youngest and then Eva, Andien, Monita, Arditho, Kaka, Once, Tompi, they are all names that I want to invite. The names of the singers are not only because they are well-known with distinctive voices, but also their characters match the songs they will sing. So the friends involved here are not only cool and characterful singers, but also suitable for the composition of the songs," said Indra Lesmana.

"Alhamdulillah, all my friends are very supportive of this concert. They are very enthusiastic and because of that, I become more enthusiastic. Because I want this concert not to be a concert about me, Indra Lesmana's musical journey. No. This is a celebration of my experience in music as a witness to Indonesia's musical journey. Later, I will share what I feel from childhood until now about the development of music in Indonesia," he continued.

4. Concert in 4 Cities in Indonesia

This concert, promoted by Senyawa Entertainment, will be held in 4 cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta (August 12, 2022), Bandung (August 20, 2022), Yogyakarta (August 27, 2022), and Bali (September 3, 2022).
