Angga revealed that before achieving success with Maliq & D’Essentials, he was faced with a difficult choice between continuing his career in music or going to Germany for work.

"I think it was abroad. At that time when Maliq was recording, my parents asked, 'So, what’s the plan? Do you want to continue in music or should we go abroad?" Angga told Kapanlagi.com recently.

This decision was not without reason. Angga admitted that he had received a job offer in Germany through a family member.

"Because I have an uncle who is abroad, he said, 'Okay Angga, just get this certification, and then go straight to Germany. Because there’s already a company waiting for you there," he revealed.

Although the opportunity to work abroad has opened up, Angga chose to continue fighting in the music industry.

"Then we said, I discussed with my mom at that time, 'What if we give this music 1-2 years, if it breaks through or works, we stay here. If it doesn't work, we go straight to Germany,'" he explained.

The decision proved to be right. Maliq & D’Essentials eventually succeeded in breaking into the Indonesian music industry and have lasted for more than two decades. "And thank God, Maliq is successful. So until 20 years, 23 years later, we are still in Indonesia," he concluded.
